In 1951 the Afghan Information Bureau in London published a booklet entitled (The Pukhtun Question), the purpose of which was to provide general information about the land of the Pakhtuns with a brief history of its people, and so enable the reader to follow current events relating to the Pakhtun movement.
After the publication of this booklet a number of letters were received in which the writers requested more details on some of the points discussed and asked many questions. These letters, and also the demand for more copies, made it essential to publish this book on the same subject, in which it is hoped to cover the points raised and answer the various questions in more details.
